Tru-Form's AZLAN

Azlan has always been one of a kind, his intelligence is second to none. His temperament and drive are legendary. Whether jumping 20 feet from a cliff into water per command, or hanging from a rope, suspended in air, for over an hour. Perhaps catching his first wild boar at the age of eight, Azlan was matchless, strong, nimble, and most importantly gifted with cleverness and aptitude. One of a kind.
Below is Azlan son Lay Off My Whiskey and LOMW son Whiskey Jr. both will be used extensively in our breeding program, both proven manstoppers.

Darkside's VADER RED

Vader Red has stirred up more controversy than just about any AB in history, to me this usually means he is worthy of his praise. Most arguments teeter on whether or not he is the hardest AB ever, maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t but at least he’s in the conversation. Did he quit once, after of years and hundreds of protections, scenarios? I don’t know, but even the best UFC fighters have matches were they are not themselves, that line were they fall from greatness to mediocrity, but at least at one time they were the greatest. Although I thought he was a sweet bulldog, when turned on perhaps for a short time he was the greatest, it can always be argued.
Below are two Vader Red x Kombat sons Ceasar and Kodiak Red, both bloodlines are represented in our current lines.

Aspenrare's KOMBAT

Kombat in my basis opinion is the greatest AB female ever, when one looks at structure, intelligence, temperament and the ability to produce offspring. She was Ladybird II, on steroids, the steroids provided by her sire Country Boy. Kombat was 90lbs, as she ran threw the woods of our 120 acre farm, her hindquarters were liken to that of a rhinoceros, thick and powerful. She was absolutely fearless, overly aggressive, but with the ability to access danger. If a stranger walked on our property Kombat would stand in front of them growl, informing them not to go any further. Her offspring speak for themselves, she made each sire‘s genes, better complimenting each litter with muscle, bone, and temperament. Above is Kombat's first professional protection work at the tender age of 9 years old. Ryan Sherry from Tru-form worked her once back in 1996, she didn't want his sleeve, she wanted Ryan's face, It wasn't a game or a sport for her, it was a fight.
Sire: Hines Country Boy Man-stopper

Dam: Hines Ladybird II (Ladybird is daughter to Hines Snowbird) Catchdog

BISHOP (Hines Bossman x Sanders Kombat)
Bishop was bred by Aspenrare, sold to Billy Hines and than sold back via TNU Kennels. So some pedigrees, say Sanders, others Hines or Raponi, I feel that whoever bred the bulldog in the pedigree should get the title, but it does get a little confusing so for simplicity reasons I have left Sanders when writing my own pedigrees on sitstay links. Bishop was a great bulldog, strong, handsome, fearless, yet not aggressive. He stamped his genes on his offspring making every litter he sired better. He is probably the best stud dog I have ever seen, with regards to clean genetics, consistency and enhancement of the breed. I will quote Billy Hines on Bishop's breeding abilities, "Hell, Bishop could put a head on a coyote."

Bishop bred to a line bred Azlan grand-daughter produced Pumba below. We will be breeding to Double bred Pumba bloodlines (50%) in 2012, with the support from Hardrock Kennels.

BREEDING 101
In 12 years I have made 1-2 posts concerning American Bulldogs and one was to defend Billy Hines from the people that now praise his dogs, who when Bill was making money bashed him mercilessly. I do enjoy looking at pics, and reading about nutrition methods, best practices, ect, but that‘s it. It doesn’t take a PhD to realize that everyone is there to market their own dogs and promote their own agenda, the human condition. Its my opinion that very few people have the slightiest idea on how to bred dogs.
One thing that I find annoying are those that have one dog with a recent title (in something) standing on a pedestal claiming they are the only ones with Working Dogs and anyone that doesn’t follow suit is wasting their time.
Working your bulldog is honorable and recommended, however to claim that is the pinnacle for breeding is ludicrous. Its one, and only one step. There are great bulldogs that throw crap, there are excellent working dogs that overflow with genetic defects, which will eventually come out to someone’s expense.
My method of breeding is very easy, bred tight, line breed, crossing to other line bred bloodlines, return to the same tight blood and manipulate consistencies.
Cross a boxer and a bullmastiff you might get a boxer body and a mastiff head, cool. Or you might get a mastiff body and boxer head, not so cool. The next generation as is true with all dog crosses, (I didn’t read this online or from a book its knowledge based on experience) produces inconsistencies in type and ability. The only way to combat these inconsistencies is through tight breeding.
So why doesn’t everyone breed tighter? Simple its a lot of work, met with difficult challenges and the realization that one might have to start all over again. Not likely for those that spend 100’s of hours promoting one dog, his or her faults will go to the grave them and unfortunately resurface in other peoples dogs.
So now what am I promoting? I take the hardest bulldogs I can find, line bred them until I can develop mental and physical consistencies within an entire litter, not just one or two pups. Do not be fooled by backyard breeders, and entire programs that are focused on one AB. Research, time is the best method of weeding out transparencies. Do not buy an AB from anyone that hasn't bred for at least 10 years.
